System requirements

  • Debian 12 or a compatible desktop system; Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm desktop or newer.
  • ARM64 (64-bit) or ARMv7 hard-float (32-bit / armhf). Intel/AMD Linux, original ARMv6 Raspberry Pi/Zero and headless Lite systems are not supported by these packages.
  • Qt 6.4+, glibc 2.36+, xdg-utils and an unlocked Secret Service keyring such as GNOME Keyring are required.

Install and get started

  1. Check your operating system architecture and choose the matching ARM64 or ARMv7 package.
  2. Open the DEB in your package installer. If you use TAR.GZ, provide the listed system dependencies before launching.
  3. Start LanSender in your desktop session, unlock the keyring if needed, and open LanSender on the other device on the same reachable network.

Keep LanSender open on both devices, on a local network that allows them to connect. The recipient chooses whether to accept incoming files.

Platform questions

Can I install it on Ubuntu or an Intel Linux PC?

These downloads target ARM Debian 12-compatible desktop environments with the listed libraries. There is no Intel/AMD Linux package here; a distribution name alone does not establish compatibility.

Will it run on Raspberry Pi OS Lite?

The packages require a graphical desktop and Secret Service keyring. Headless Lite is outside this target, as are the original ARMv6 Pi and Pi Zero.
